Thinking of how you helped me had me waking up with a smile on my face. So "Thank you" for being you! Things are good in my life but I was honestly down or just kind of going through the motions. Always working my plan but just not happy. Then here you came walking in. Putting off a vibe that commands attention. You gave me something fresh and exciting! Helped me adjust my perspective. I can't hardly express my gratitude and emotions. So I'll just leave it there girl! Keep doing what you are doing and lifting people. I appreciate you.

The Birth of MYA Athletics
Junie Carpenter & The Story of MYA
MYA ATHLETICS
Move Your Ass. Change Your Life.
Before MYA Athletics ever existed, there was a woman who didn’t recognize herself anymore.
She felt bloated after every meal. Sluggish. Anxious. Uncomfortable in her own skin. Jeans felt restrictive. Mirrors felt unforgiving. Stretch marks, a soft stomach from having kids, and the quiet shame of not feeling confident in a bathing suit created a constant internal battle. She wasn’t just unhappy with her body—she wasn’t happy with herself.
Like many moms, she carried everyone else before herself. And over time, that neglect showed up physically, mentally, and emotionally.
The Turning Point
The change didn’t start with a program, a scale, or a goal weight.
It started with belief.
One person said, “I think you could feel better. I think you could do better.”
That small moment of someone believing in her cracked the door open. She locked in on nutrition, showed up to move her body, and discovered something unexpected: proof.
Her belly felt better. Her energy shifted. And that tiny win created curiosity.
If this feels better… what else is possible?
The Core Truth
For years, she lived in a fear-based mind.
Panic attacks. Anxiety. Fear of her own heart rate. Sensory overload. Avoiding social situations out of embarrassment. She felt fragile—mentally and physically—like her body couldn’t be trusted.
The gym changed that.
Doing physically hard things rewired her brain. Every lift, every workout, every moment of pushing through discomfort proved something powerful:
Her body was not weak. It was capable. Strong. Resilient.
And once she stopped fearing her body, the fear lost its grip everywhere else. Sensations weren’t scary anymore. Discomfort wasn’t danger. Strength replaced fear.
The MYA Method
MYA stands for Move Your Ass.
It started as something she had to say to herself on tired days, anxious days, overwhelmed days. But it became more than motivation—it became a philosophy.
Move Your Ass means:
Choosing movement over stagnation
Discipline over comfort
Action over fear
Growth over excuses
It applies to the gym, your health, your finances, your relationships, and your standards. MYA is about moving toward the version of yourself you respect—even when it’s uncomfortable.
She fell in love with training because it was the missing piece all along.
The Reality of the Struggle
The journey wasn’t about quitting—it was about continuing.
There were unmotivated days. Hormonal days. Cravings. Exhaustion from work, relationships, motherhood, and life. There were moments of body dissatisfaction even while working hard.
And that’s the truth:
Results require delayed gratification.
Even years in, you may never feel “finished.” But that’s not failure—that’s evolution. MYA teaches commitment, not perfection. Satisfaction isn’t the goal. Standards are.
The Real Results
The biggest transformation wasn’t physical—it was internal.
Confidence grew beyond appearance. Self-respect sharpened boundaries. Communication improved. Mental maturity developed. Resilience became automatic.
Once you prove to yourself that you can do hard things, nothing feels out of reach anymore.
Success in the gym spills into every part of life.
The Lesson
Most people think motivation creates discipline.
The truth is discipline creates motivation.
Putting yourself in the gym forces self-awareness. It saves money. It sharpens your mind. It shrinks daily stressors. Eating whole, real foods the way humans were meant to eat allows fat to fall off naturally. Strength training builds muscle, mobility, and resilience—especially for moms who feel like they lost their bodies or youth.
Strength training doesn’t bring you back.
It brings you back better.
The Mission
MYA Athletics exists because one woman moved—and decided to bring others with her.
What started as walking videos and lifting clips ended with a simple message:
Move your ass.
Not as an insult—but as an invitation.
MYA Athletics is for women and men, but especially women who want to:
Find their bodies again
Feel young, alive, and confident
Reconnect with self-love and self-awareness
Get their sexy back—physically, mentally, and spiritually
MYA is accountability. MYA is belief. MYA is proof.
This is a brand built on one core message:
YES I CAN.
And once you believe that—everything changes.
